Our Water Restoration Process

Repairs and Documenting the Loss

We begin your water loss project by identifying the source/sources of moisture and stopping the intrusion of water by temporary or permanent repair. Our experts will map the affected areas using thermal imagery and highly accurate moisture meters.

After we have documented the scope of the loss, we will develop a customized drying plan according to the guidelines in the IICRC S500 manual.

Equipment

We use a combination of air movers to evaporate moisture from materials and commercial dehumidifiers. This equipment can pull moisture out of the air and remove it from the conditioned building envelope.

We follow the S500 manual to determine how much equipment to place and where. We always establish drying goals at the beginning of the process based on dry standards identified from similar unaffected materials and known ranges.

We use these goals to determine when the job is done. Establishing clear drying goals is important when submitting invoices to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Salvaging Personal Property

Our professionals use the dry in place” method to salvage your personal belongings and other household contents. We may have to rearrange/place personal property on foam blocks to facilitate this process. In some cases, we may need to pack out affected belongings to our facilities for decontamination, cleaning, and drying.
